Galactic Civilizations II, the sequel in the works at Stardock, will be shipping to stores on February 22, 2006, Paradox Interactive announced. European gamers will also be able to look forward to a limited Steelbook edition with Galactic Civilization II goodies - steelbook is a new type of packaging in metal DVD format. Galactic Civilizations II takes place in the distant future, when mankind has become a space-faring civilization and must contend with other extraterrestrial powers for domination of the galaxy. The game will offer a new map system, many distinct races, a non-linear campaign, enhanced AI and more.
