Welcome to the very first Best of the Week. It’s been a hectic week with a huge amount of fresh news from the gamingindustry and for those who haven’t had the time to check our site this week, we have this summary ready.

Top Stories

Let us kick off with STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. In the beginning of the week GSC Gameworld finnaly completed STALKER, their long awaited FPS. STALKER has reached a new status and is almost completed. You can read the full story here.

Next is the announcement of GTR 2, the sequel of the GTR – FIA GT Racing Game. 10tacle Studios AG and SimBin Development also released the first screenshots from GTR 2. You can check out the Press Release along with the original newspost here.

Another announcement came from InaGold that Friday announced the return of the Tactical Manager series. They will release 3 games in 7 months. The original Tactical Manager was top of the Gallap charts during the 1994 World Cup when Black Legend/Kompart UK made it one of the best selling games within its genre. The new version is being developed by original developer Talking Birds, which brought many innovations to the original game. Check out the full article here.

Between the announcement of many new games, Eidos announced that 25 to Life received the Gold status. The game developed by Avalanche Software, has been approved for manufacturing and will will be available in North America starting January 18th, 2006 on PS2, Xbox, and PC. Set in the heart of today's cities, the game lets you experience the gritty lifestyles of police task forces or, as a gangster, survive the local neighborhood thugs while fighting your way up the ranks. Along with the announcements of new games Namco had some other news. After the announced delay in Japan Namco comfirmed that Frame City Killer is also delayed in North America and Europe. They did announce a demo of Full Auto which will be released later this month. Set in a futuristic metropolis in East Asia, Frame City Killer puts players in the role of Crow, an assassin sent to Frame City to identify and eliminate Khan - a mysterious terrorist and head of a deadly new-age drug cartel.
