It seems that a newly formed company, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, has obtained the rights to develop a MMORPG based on the Stargate unviverse (thanks: Blues). Stargate Worlds will allow you to travel through the Stargate with teams of soldiers and scientists to locations where you can forge alliances, establish trade, investigate ancient mysteries, and defend Earth from hostile forces, such as the Goa'uld and the Ori. On the other hand the first-person shooter, Stargate SG-1: The Alliance seems definitely cancelled, though there is an online petition you can sign to support the community wish of MGM still backing it. We've been monitoring the community and the MMORPG news isn't that welcomed, especially in the context of The Alliance cancellation rumors. Most people are concerned about the monthly fees and the period of time needed to develop such a game. We'll continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
