Sony Online Entertainment announced an agreement with Perpetual Entertainment to co-publish its online action role-playing game, Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising (thanks: Blues). Under the co-publishing partnership, Perpetual will host and operate the game, while SOE's Platform Publishing will be responsible for retail marketing and distribution of the game in North America. The game is set in Rome around 300 BC, a time when the Republic is powerful, but Roman enemies including the Carthaginians, Gauls, and Samnites threaten the empire. Launch is expected this fall with beta testing to start this summer.
