Do you hate web-based games? Do you find them dull because they lack graphics? Do you think them unprofessional, as though they were made on the fly within 2 months? Did you notice that they often lack stories, NPCs, quests, and visuals? Well, forget everything you know about web-based games, and feast your eyes on FaitH? FaitH is a massively multiplayer web-based strategy and role-playing game with 2-dimensional graphics and an interface that's out of this world! And you wanted quests? We've got quests, alright. Not to mention NPCs, interactive stories, and much more! But brace yourselves, because you're about to read some sacred text: from July 1 to August 1, 2002, the Dragon Claw Studio will let gamers of the world play FaitH for free! That's right! After months and months of beta testing, players from all around the globe will finally join forces to usher in FaitH's very first public game! And what's the best part? Forget CD-ROMs, and never mind those annoying downloads. To play FaitH, just open your web browser, and you'll only be a few clicks away from a truly divine gameplay? That means you can play FaitH from any PC, from anywhere in the world! How cool is that? About FaitH Legend has it that a god, known only as Gomiza, created three supreme beings: Rift, Celeste, and Targar. Rift and Celeste became lovers, and through their bond, the Aloradius came to be. Targar, their brother, has inscribed the entire history of the Aloradius in a sacred manuscript called The Book of Dawn. Now, many ages later, various Kingdoms have scattered throughout the world, speculating on theories about the origin of existence. Guided by your Faith and courage, you must lead your army and your people on a Divine Quest that will change the fate of the Aloradius. Unlike most web-based games, FaitH isn't just about the text: it also lets you "see" how the game is progressing. The Dragon Claw Studio created a unique graphic interface that allows players to truly immerse themselves into the game thanks to our original visual landscape. This means you don't just see the Aloradius, you can also "feel" it? Amongst the visual assets featured in FaitH are: a graphic "Build City" function; your own Avatar, which you select to show other players what your Emperor looks like; army units; buildings; NPCs; Noviaas City, where you can cut a deal, buy an ale, or make some otherworldly purchases; and a myriad of other features included in the interface, which were specially designed to make the game easier to play and more enjoyable! Of course, FaitH also has a lot of functions that make it exceptional! FaitH has its very own IRC chatroom where players can meet the developers, ask questions about the game, and talk amongst themselves. FaitH contains in-game Forums where players can put pen to paper about some core issues regarding the game. You'll also find special FaitH Statistics, letting you know who the most powerful players are; a one-of-a-kind Aloradian map that can be explored at any time; and a customizable interface that allows players choose how they want their game to look! In FaitH, players first get to choose which class they wish to belong to: Wizard, War Master, Rogue, Merchant, or Jack of All Trades. While aligning themselves with a specific religion, each player will be given a Province to reign over as Emperor, an army to lead as General, and they will be teamed up with 24 other players to form a Kingdom. From here, players will embark on an adventure that will challenge them with difficult decision, a slew of strategic choices, and options that will allow them to personalize their gaming experience!
