Akella and Wargaming.net today released the first screenshots from Inhabited Island: Battlefield, a strategy game based on the novel with the same title by Strugatsky brothers. The story unfolds after Maxim destroyed the Central Broadcast Station and the Land of Fathers army was defeated in the North. Having lost effect of mind control transmissions, the most part of the inhabitants faced collective hangover and fell into a state similar to coma. The Khontis seized the opportunity and attacked the country from the north. In this situation, violence is the only way to settle the conflict and stop the war. Release is scheduled for Q1 2007, but you can visit them at Akella's booth during this year's E3 for the demo.
