Manually Updating the NWUpdate Program To manually update your version of the NWUpdate program, please do the following: 1. Try updating normally, by pressing the Update button. 2. If you encounter any problems, Download the NWUpdate 1.07 patch (500 KB) 3. Save it somewhere you can easily find, such as your Desktop 4. Run the file. 5. If your Neverwinter Nights install directory is different from "C:NeverwinterNightsNWN" then you will have to use the Browse buttong to select your Neverwinter Nights install directory. 6. Press the Unzip button to extract the file. 7. Press the Close button to exit the program. 8. Your NWUpdate program is now patched. Manually Updating the Dialog Files If there is missing text on buttons such as on the game launcher, or the text is missing during in game dialog, your dialog.tlk file may have been corrupted. You can download replacement dialog.tlk files here. Manually Updating Neverwinter Nights Note: Manually patching should only be done if you have problems with the automatic 'Update' program - the manual patch is a 35 MB download instead of the 3 MB download when you use the automatic Update program, as it includes all critical files, not just ones for the patch in case you are having file system issues. To manually download and install the Neverwinter Nights patch, please do the following: 1. Try updating normally, by pressing the Update button. 2. If you encounter any problems, Download the Neverwinter Nights English 1.20 manual patch (34 MB) 3. Save it somewhere you can easily find, such as your Desktop 4. Run the file. 5. Neverwinter Nights is now patched.
