Monte Cristo has issued 2 new patches for their recently released dinosaur park simulation,
Dino Island. Both patches fixes some problems with the hi-res textures on Voodoo-based cards. Get
this patch if you have a Voodoo 3 card, and
this one if you have a Voodoo 4/5 card.
Dino Island fix for Voodoo 3 video cards
Installation
Once the patch has finishing downloading, please do the following;
Right click on the 'TextureParam_DetailMap.zip' file and select 'Extract to...'
In the window that opens, specify the directory the files will be extracted to.
By default, the files should go into c:Program FilesMonte CristoDino IslandDataStates
Click the box 'Overwrite exisitng files'.
Click 'Extract'.
In the Options menu of the game select the 'high' level of detail for textures.
The new version of this file de-activates detailed ground textures, which are the cause of the problem with the Voodoo3.
As a result the ground will not look as good as intended but the game will run correctly.

Rename the old Executable, DinoIsland.exe, to DinoIslandOld.exe
Copy the new Executable, DinoIslandVoodoo5.exe, to this directory, then rename it to DinoIsland.exe
