Atari today announced a publishing deal with Playlogic Entertainment for the release of Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales throughout Europe, the US and Asia this September. Powered by the next generation engine STORM 2.5, Age of Pirates will feature 16 colonized islands, a completely open ended gameplay with a goal to achieve (gather all colonies under his hand), improved naval ship tactics and four different multiplayer modes: Free for All, Naval Battle, Sink the Convoy and Capture the Fort.
