Penumbra is a horror adventure game created by a small team of students, four people to be exact and a couple of helpers that did specific tasks such as voice-overs and music. The game features state of the art graphics and makes heavy use of physics. Penumbra was created as a technology development project, with the aim to explore new uses of physics in games. Penumbra - Overture is the commercial version of the game, which is now in the works. The game will feature major updates in both gameplay and graphics. Gameplay additions include a melee combat system, greatly improved AI and more stable physics, whicle graphics additions refer to full real-time lighting, motion blur, depth of field and advanced fogging.
