LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Empire Interactive PLC, an-AIM listed computer games publisher and developer, Thursday said it has signed an agreement with Microsoft (MSFT - News) Game Studios to publish a number of Microsoft products under its Xplosiv label. Among the nine titles signed for distribution in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland are Microsoft Flight Simulator 98, Age of Empires Gold Edition, Midtown Madness and Links LS Classic. Empire said the inclusion of Microsoft 's titles in the Xplosiv range will increase sales and chart presence of the label, and ensure the continuing quality of the product line-up. Empire plans to publish the Microsoft titles within the GBP4.99 to GBP9.99 price range. Ian Higgins, chief executive of Empire, said: "This deal enhances our brand and will allow us to increase our market share in the budget software sector."
