Sam & Max: Culture Shock Available On GameTap

GameTap announced that Sam & Max Episode 1: Culture Shock, the game co-published with Telltale Games, has been released on GameTap network. New episodes will be launched monthly and will be available to GameTap subscribers as part of the monthly subscription rate of $9.95. Subscribers will also have accesd to weekly releases of the complete 1997 animated Sam & Max television series and a documentary that takes gamers behind the scenes for “The Making of Sam & Max". Moreover, beginning on November 30, 2006, all new machinima animated shorts will premiere weekly on GameTap leading up to the launch of each episode. Created by Telltale, the shorts fill in the back story and give gamers their weekly Sam & Max fix between monthly episodes.
In honor of its first birthday, GameTap also announced the formation of the “GameTap Original” label. Through this new initiative, GameTap will continue what it started with the introduction of “Sam & Max” and “Myst Online: Uru Live” and partner with more independent developers and publishers to bring new video game titles to fans.
