Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy III, a game developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS, has shipped to retailers across North America. Previously released only in Japan for the NES system in 1990, the game sold over a million units. You now can explore dungeons, dispatch foes and cast spells using the DS stylus and communicate with other players and NPCs over the wifi connection to uncover hidden dungeons, quests and items. The game retails for $39.99.
