Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) today announced a key firmware update to the PSP system that enables PSP and PS3 to work together. With the latest upgrade (version 3.00), consumers can now stream multimedia content, including videos, photos, and music, from their PS3 system (60GB configuration) to their PSP system. In addition, the PSP system now has a software emulator so you can play classic PlayStation (PS one) software titles, which will be available soon for download from the PlayStation Store via the PS3.
