A demo for the Xbox 360 version of Battlestations Midway, featuring the Islands of Solomon map, was released today, with the PC demo due later this week (thanks: Chip). The basic objective is to destroy the opposing team’s carriers/airfields/shipyards, and players can share units. If you take player/slot one for example, you are not always limited to just air combat – you can swap a unit with a team-mate and take command of a ship or sub as well. In terms of the famous units involved - one of the carriers is the USS Yorktown and there are also Wildcat and Zero fighters, Dauntless dive bombers and Avenger torpedo planes. Battlestations Midway will be released on 9th February, 2007, for Xbox 360 and PC.
