Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced MotorStorm, the PS3 game developed by Evolution Studios, will feature a Buddy List that will allow players to log in online and view a customized active list of other friends also online. The buddy list will be a downloadable patch that will begin functioning automatically when other users log in online. Once the patch is downloaded, players will be asked to reboot their systems. Once online, players will hit the "accept" icon during the agreement segment, and this will lead to a screen with a "play" icon with an additional "buddy" icon. Players can select buddies on the list and it will show the current status of other players, whether or not they are currently logged on, as well. If buddies are online, players will be able to obtain a direct link to them through the buddy list. The feature also comes equipped with a game filter barring other non-affiliated users to infiltrate a set game list. All players must be connected to a buddy to enter. The new buddy list feature will launch the morning of Friday, March 23rd, to coincide with the European launch of PS3 and MotorStorm in Europe.
