The official Aquanox 2: Revelation site has been updated with 15 new screenshots (also viewable in our gallery) of this action game sequel in the works at Massive Development. The game will be published by JoWooD this winter.
AquaNox: Revelation, originally devised as a stand-alone add-on for JoWooD's AquaNox, has now been introduced as its official follow-up. As the new title indicates, AquaNox 2: Revelation is not just an AquaNox ?mission disk? but a full follow-up of considerable size with a complete story in its own right. In the course of the last few months the Massive Development team, a part of the JoWooD group, has exceeded its ambitious goals and has considerably extended the originally planned product scope. ?Thanks to our mature technology, high creativity and the tremendous motivation of our staff and based on the overwhelming feedback on AquaNox, we have implemented so many new features that we can now present a full follow-up?, says Technical Director Ingo Frick. Like its predecessor, AquaNox 2: Revelation is set in the murky underwater world of Aqua. Young freighter pilot William Drake goes in search of the mysterious treasure of one of his ancestors. He finds great adventure but also hatred and greed ? and new friendship. The game introduces a completely new story which unfolds at the same time as that of AquaNox. The story presentation has been redeveloped to convey an extremely impressive and realistic atmosphere. Intense and varied missions involve fast dogfighting action as well as tactical and strategic elements. The game's graphic style has been revised to convey an even more realistic impression of the oppressive underwater atmosphere. All this has been put into effect with the help of the latest version of the Krass? engine that supports all features of the latest generation of video cards.
