24th October 2002 - Buka Entertainment company – one of the leading gaming experts in Russia – is pleased to announce today signing of the next software license agreement between Buka Entertainment and Capcom Co., Ltd, which permits Capcom to publish and distribute futuristic action/simulation “Echelon” on the territory of Japan.
The history of our friendly relationship and cooperation with Capcom includes also successful launch of “Red Shark” in Japan this summer.
“Red Shark”, developed by G5 Software, and the sequel to “Echelon” continue strengthening their positions in the international market.
JoWood Productions Software AG –one of the leading publishers of entertainment software in the German-speaking countries - is currently publishing “Red Shark” and “Echelon: Wind Warriors” along with “Paradise Cracked” and “Spells of Gold” in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Now we are focusing on North America with the aim to bring our products there. At present we are arranging a business tour, which is bound to expand our presence in this market.
Our main goals are as follows:
- licensing our titles to local publishers;
- searching for strategic partners in the local markets;
- strengthening of Buka’s brand name in the North American PC game market.
