CDV Software Entertainment USA and Slitherine Software announced that The History Channel Great Battles of Rome has reached Gold status and will be available in North America on September 17 2007. The game includes over 100 battles like the Punic and Samnite Wars and Julius Caesar's conquest of Britain and lots of units like legionaries, archers, cavalry and even war-elephants, all of them in various environments including steppe, forest, desert and coastline, with both day and night lighting.
