Eidos announces Thief Sequel
Eidos plc (“Eidos”), one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces an amendment to its licensing agreement with Looking Glass Studios, Inc. The deal incorporates 4 new titles: Thief Gold and Thief II: The Metal Age, plus two other as yet unnamed products based on the Thief franchise.
Thief Gold is an enhanced version of the hugely successful Thief: The Dark Project and also includes new missions. This first title will be released in Fall of 1999. Thief II: The Metal Age is the sequel to the original game and will be available in Spring, 2000.
Looking Glass is a pre-eminent developer of critically acclaimed titles including System Shock, and the Flight Unlimited series. Looking Glass Studios Inc. are based in Cambridge, MA, USA.
