Atari has announced that the intro movie of The Witcher obtained a nomination of the Visual Effects Society. A nomination in the category of Outstanding Pre-Rendered Visuals in a Video Game was given to Polish artists Tomasz Bagiñski, Marcin Kobylecki, Grzegorz Kukuœ and Maciek Jackiewicz from Platige Image for "The Witcher" Cinematic Intro. The Visual Effects Society (VES) is an organization awarding prizes for effects in all spheres of the entertainment industry: film, television, commercials, music videos and video games. Currently the society consists of about 1500 members from 17 countries. A playable demo of Witcher is locally mirrored here.
