Gameplay:
-Passing routine now ignores z velocity (when you were jumping while someone passed you a ball it was shot in the sky, because it predicted your upwards movement, this is fixed with that).
-It's changed how the pass target is selected. It's now the player which is closest to the crosshair. It's not any more based on distance.
-As player without ball you only take normal damage in enemy penalty zone (60) instead of instant kill.
-Now victims position matters, not killer position in penalty zone. That means you cannot be killed if you are close to the penalty zone. Only if you are actually inside.
-Volleyshot: In 1.1 a speed of 600 was added to the current one. Now the speed after volleyshot is constant at 2000.
-Volleyshot2: Hitradius reduced (from 300 to 235) so people don't spam around with that one.
-Volleyshot3: Latency added. Enemies can only kick the ball 0.6 seconds after it was shot. Friends can always kick it.
-You can not any more get up to the fence and walk around on the 'gallery' in the cube maps.
-Ball Laucher charge up time reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1.25 seconds.
-Goals in DB-Cube now football style, not any more in the field like in icehockey.
Other stuff:
-New announcer, big thx to Epic Games who hired the voice actors and produced that stuff! (Tho some of the announcer voices are not added yet; and the player voice packs aren't added at all)
-Celebrating phase after goal is now longer (14 secs) otherwise there would not be enough room for the announcer stuff, you know, he says the score and some other stuff like 'blue team increased their league'; 'new round in...' etc, I hope it's not too annoying on small maps where you score all the time.
-New map added by Mclane, DB-Tribun for 8-12 players
-New map added by Redfox (& DavidM), DB-Legofan for 6-10 players
-Keeper only gets 4 points for catching ball (5 before).
-Fixed maplist bug ( those who saw the bug will know what it is :P)
-Fontcolor of blue team changed to a brighter blue because it was too hard to read.
-Added 2nd radar in the middle of the screen that shows players and ball in a radius of 1536 units around you. It also shows the goal posts to help Keepers. (all customizable)
-DB does not any more remove the announcer in other gametypes.
-Adrenaline Count removed from HUD.
-You get a 'Catch the ball!' text shown when somebody is passing it to you.
-Keeper name of own team shown in Hud.
-Locations in playerlist shown in at least DB-Cube, DB-SmallCube and DB-Legofan. Writing this I notice that I didn't check DB-Tribun for it :)

About DeathBall
DeathBall turns UT2003 into a mix of Football, American Football, Basketball and Icehockey. Basically it's a way changed version of the retail game mode 'Bombing Run'.
2 teams play in less complex maps, they are more some sort of sport pitches. It's not about shooting and such, its more about team tactics and passing the ball (which really didn't work so well in Bombing Run). Therefor we created a much better passing and shooting system. The only weapon you have is the Shieldgun and you can only kill the player with the ball. But you're not completely unarmed: You can 'bump' the others (kick em away).
Instead of the Stargate like goals in BR we have Football goals and you better also have a keeper in it to catch incoming balls. The goal is as high as you can jump, and as wide as you can dodge.
It can be played 2on2 up to 6on6 or so....but the top really depends on the size of the map.
The Death Ball Rules In Detail
This may scare you away, but it sounds way more complicated than it actually is, so don't be affraid when you read all this.You are supposed to get the ball into the enemys goal. You can either play until one team got a certain amount of goals or you play for a certain time.

The Rules
Penalty Zone:
In your own zones you can kill all enemies with 1 hit (instant hit).
A logo in the HUD will show that you entered your own or the enemy's zone.
Keeper Zone:
Only one player of a team can enter this zone at once (to avoid that teams have 10 goal keepers), if there are more a counter will count down the time from 5 secs to 0, if you haven't left until then you will be respawned. It will also be shown in the HUD that you entered the zone.
You don't NEED a keeper, but based on our own experience we really recommend to have one!
If there is no player in your own zone there will be a warning logo in the HUD.
The Keeper cannot be kicked away by the other team, the keeper always has god mode on.
If the keeper owns the ball (ballowner is in his own keeper zone) there will be a timer counting down the time. If you don't get the ball out of the zone in this time the ball will be reset (to the middle). (Otherwise you could 'hide' with the ball in the zone.
Only the keeper is able to dodge. (Dodging for others had to be turned off, because it was all about dodging, and the team who dodges the most wins...You will miss it when you first play it, but everybody who has played it with it turned on agreed that it has to go. So the team with the better tactics and the better passes wins.
You cannot enter the goal, this was made because you often accidentaly made an own goal.
The pitch:
You can bump around all players except for the ball owner. Kicking away enemys, and kicking friends to the ball is a tactical method you should use.
You can kill the ball owner with 2 hits (One hit substracts 50 points).
Ball Owner:
A logo in the Hud will show when you got the ball.
As Ball owner you are slower than the other players (about 15%).
Moving the crosshair over friends will highlight them with a rotating disc.
To pass the ball just press the 2nd fire button.
If you wanna shoot the ball use 1st fire, the longer you hold down the button the harder the shot will be. But if the bar reaches the top the ball will get out of control. The first mode can also be used for passes, often its better.
When the ball owner gets hit by an enemy he won't be bumped away as far as players without the ball. But 2 hits are deadly for him (one hit in the enemy's penalty and keeper zone).
Without Ball:
As player without Ball you can de/activate a mode called 'Pass me the ball!'
An icon in your HUD will show if its on or not. For your teammates the arrow over your head turns yellow when it's on (normally it has your teamcolor).
You should activate it when you think you are in a good position and ready to catch the ball. You don't have to, but It may be helpful in some situations).
