Turbine today announced it has reached an agreement with Tolkien Enterprises to extend its license to develop MMORPGs based on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien to 2014 with additional options to extend the rights until 2017. The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, the latest MMORPG developed by Turbine is now available in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
