COR Entertainment LLC has announced Alien Arena 2008, mostly a complete overhaul and update of the core game. This new version will have a number of new enhancements, features, and optimizations, that not only have enhanced the visual quality, but increased performance dramatically, as well using fewer resources. Existing features such as normalmapping have been dramatically improved, and made to run much faster. Greater detail was now possible in maps, models and skins, and yet overall performance is still up over 30% from the final release of Alien Arena 2007.
