This year, during the Game Developers Choice Awards Ceremony, the Award for Best Technology, for which Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Portal and Assassin’s Creed were also nominated, was given to Crytek for its Crysis, recognizing the overall technical excellence of the CryENGINE 2 technology powering the game.
