Simon the Sorcerer 1 Patch Installation Instructions Be sure to follow the instructions carefully for successful installation of the patch. Note that this patch only works with the latest version of the game (the version that comes with the instruction manual on the CD). 1) Right click on the link at the bottom of these instructions and select ‘Save Target As’. Save the patch into a location where you can find it later. If you have already installed Simon The Sorcerer 1: 1) Double click the patch to run it when it has downloaded. 2) Follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, make sure you enter the path where your version of Simon the Sorcerer 1 is installed. The default for this is C:Program FilesAdventureSoftSimon the Sorcerer, and this path is entered automatically. 3) Click ‘Unzip’ to extract the files, and then click ‘Close’ to exit the patch installer. 4) Run the game from the Start Menu (under the AdventureSoft program group). The game will not run if you let the CD autoplay. If you can’t install Simon the Sorcerer 1 at all: 1) Install the game in the following way :- i) Put the game CD in your drive. If an error message appears, just click OK. ii) Click your Start button, then click RUN. iii) In the dialog box that appears, enter D:setup.exe (where D is the letter of your CD drive) and press enter. iv) Proceed through the installation in the usual manner. Choose NOT to run the game at the end of the installation. 2) When the game has installed completely and the setup program has closed, DOUBLE-CLICK the patch file you downloaded earlier to run it. 3) Follow the on-screen instructions.
