Gas Powered Games have confirmed that they are planning to release Demigod in February 2009. Beta 1 will begin this August, followed by Beta 2 in October and Beta 3 in December. The RC (release candidate) version of the game should be available in January 2009. Demigod is a team-based action game set in an awesome future-fantasy world that casts you as a hero waging war to obtain a position within the pantheon of gods. There are two playable Demigod character types - General and Assassin - the type you choose determines the style of gameplay. Play as an Assassin-class hero, and the game plays like an action-RPG; play as a General, and Demigod plays more like a strategy game.
