Gamedale let us know that "In our development of project WASTED we came to another point when an internal (not public) alpha-test is going to take place. We have worked a lot on different features of the game and upcoming alpha-test will allow us to see all the modules of the game in action, find out what requires further improvement, define the forts and weaknesses of our game". They also sent us a new screenshot taken from the latest build of their 3D first-person arcade shooter.
Story: ... In the distinct future Earth has finally started colonization of the Outer Space planets. Precious metals and useful minerals were found on several of them - it resulted in building mining colonies. Some planets were used for correctional facilities - prisons for the most dangerous criminals were established on those. And certainly some planets were not certified as suitable for living or containing any useful minerals that would be worth extracting. It was decided to turn those planets into the huge garbage collectors - special spaceships started regularly delivering there loads of old military machines, industrial toxic and radioactive waste - everything that was not wanted on Earth anymore. Special autonomous garbage processing plants were built on those planets. Those plants were fully independent, having robots and Artificial Intelligence clever enough to arrange processing and storage of any industrial garbage that was being dropped onto the planet surface. For several decades people were happy with the state of things - computer controlled autonomous garbage processing far away from the places where the people live made life on Earth clean and nice, without any industrial pressure and GreenPeace demonstrations. Nobody has expected that trouble would come from the most unlikely place in the whole colonized space... The troubles began when one day a regular garbage transporting spaceship didn't return to Earth for reloading. Garbage Traffic Control Tower on Earth couldn't locate the vessel on the radars and couldn't contact the crew by radio. It looked like the ship has disappeared during landing onto the planet, because for that short moment ships always became unreachable for radio transmissions. On the same day Garbage Traffic Control Tower has lost contact with the processing plant's Central Computer on the planet Exile 14. Reaction of personell was standard - a group of technicians was immediately sent to find out the cause of the trouble and fix any malfunctions of the autonomous garbage plant if necessary. Things started to look suspicious when the group of technicians has also disappeared on the garbage planet. Officers in charge have made a decision to send out a light armed recon hovercraft, that would be delivered to Exile 14's orbit by a transport shop and then sent in a drop-capsule onto the planet surface to see what's going wrong there. You will play the role of the person, piloting recon hover-craft, who will have to find reasons for the whole trouble and solve the problem by all available means. Planned game features: - 10 original frightening but beautiful outdoor and indoor 3D levels each of which will contain from 2 to 4 arenas full of hostile robots and other autonomous mechanisms, who will be all driven by an idea to bring you down in a most brutal way; - 20 different mechanical enemy types, not counting the bosses; - 2 main weapons that our garbage man could save from the spaceship - minigun and rocket launcher; - Cool sound effects and ambient music; - The game will be 100% free and available for direct download from our FTP server or on a CD (you will pay only for shipping).
