After a false start this weekend (story), Konami has now released a working demo of Casino Inc, allowing you to try out this upcoming casino simulation by Hothouse Creations Ltd. Word is "The Demo features one very small City, and the number of characters is greatly reduced too. The demo contains only a limited range of attractions; for example, there are no stages or performers.". Gamer's Hell Local Download:

This file contains detailed technical information please read it through carefully. 1) System Requirements MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Windows® XP/ME/2000/98 Intel Pentium® II 450Mhz or equivalent processor 64 MB RAM 16 MB DirectX8.1 compatible video card DirectX8.1 compatible sound card DirectX8.1 or higher 1.1 GB free hard disk space RECOMMENDED Intel Pentium® III 600 Mhz processor 128 MB RAM 32 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible video card It may be necessary to update your hardware drivers before playing. 2) Instructions & Controls The full version of Casino Inc contains eight tutorials, which have been omitted from the Demo to reduce the size. The first time you click on any button in the main interface, you will receive some help text about its function. Most interface screens contain a blue question mark '?' which, if clicked, will display more extensive help about that interface or game feature. Pause Game (P Key) Save/Load/Quit/Options Menu (ESC or click on the X button near the Clock) Scroll Screen (Cursor Keys or Mouse Pointer to edge of screen) Rotate View Left/Right (Delete/End Keys or click on Rotate button in lower left of screen) Rotate View Left/Right in small increments (Insert/Home Keys) Zoom View (PgUp/PgDn Keys or click on Magnifying Glass Buttons (+/-)) Move Up One Floor (+ Plus Key or click on Floor Indicator) Move Down One Floor (- Minus Key or click on Floor Indicator) Mouse Pointer The Mouse Pointer will change ‘intelligently’ to indicate buttons or areas on the screen that can be affected by your input. The normal pointer is a yellow arrow attached to gambling chips but if you hover this pointer over a button that is ‘active’ (ready for your left or right mouse click input) it will change to a pointing hand. If you are waiting for a game to save or load you will see the yellow arrow pointer with rotating red die. Accelerated/Slow Time Accelerated Time on or off (Key T or Key [ ) Slow Time on/off (Key [ or Activate Mouse Wheel using Game Options, then use the middle mouse button) Following To center on and follow any game character or motor vehicle in the game world, hover the mouse pointer over the character or vehicle and press the F key. Press the F key again to cancel. When Follow mode is active, a security camera (CCTV) icon will appear at the top of the screen. Positioning Attractions Rotate Attraction (Click right mouse button) Place Attraction (Click left mouse button) Selecting To select one member of staff (Left click on staff figure - he/she will become highlighted) To select several members of staff (Hold down CTRL or SHIFT and left-click on multiple staff members) left-click and hold down mouse button then ‘drag box’ over the group you want to select, and release (they will all then be highlighted)) Ordering Staff Left click on staff member to select and right click on a character (to open the appropriate Orders menu) or right-click on the floor to make staff member go to there. 3) Demo Content The content of the full version of Casino Inc is much more extensive than this Demo. The Demo features one very small City. The full version features three, with m,any objectives in each. The number of characters is greatly reduced in the demo. There are many additional visitor types in the full version, along with eight sets of Convention attendees, ranging from Elvis fans to Sci Fi fans. The audio in this demo is at a much reduced quality, with a limited range of music and SFX included, due to size limitations. The demo contains only a limited range of attractions; for example, there are no stages or performers. 4) Starting Casino, Inc Demo To begin playing the Casino, Inc Demo click on the Play Casino, Inc icon found within the KonamiCasino Inc Demo program folder. (Start bar - Programs - Konami - Casino Inc Demo). 5) Uninstalling Casino, Inc Demo If you need to uninstall Casino, Inc, you may do any of the following: * Click on the START button, choose Programs, Konami, Casino Inc Demo and click on Uninstall Casino Inc Demo * Click on the START button, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and choose Casino Inc Demo to uninstall the game. 6) Memory and Performance Casino, Inc requires at least 64 MB of RAM and a Pentium® II 450 MHz processor; the performance of the game will improve if you have more RAM, a faster processor and graphics card. Regardless of your machine specs, you can maximize your available memory and increase the overall performance of the game by doing the following: * Shut down all non-essential Windows programs especially online chat programs, virus checkers and screen layout utilities. * Regularly defragment your hard drive. * Increase your amount of free hard drive space 9) Graphic and Sound cards Casino, Inc requires a graphics card with 3D hardware acceleration and at least 16 MB of RAM. The drivers for your graphic card must support DirectX 8.1 or higher. If you are having any problems running the game, please ensure you have updated your graphic card drivers before contacting technical support. 3Dfx cards - 3Dfx cards are not officially supported. Unfortunately, 3Dfx no longer releases updated drivers for their chipsets and do not support certain features of DirectX 8. Known issues include the appearance of light and dark patches and lines on the game interface. However, you may be able to find an updated driver at the following web site: http://www.voodoofiles.com/ PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to install new 3Dfx drivers, you do so at your own risk! SOUND CARDS If you are experiencing sound abnormalities such as clicking and popping, you may need to turn off sound hardware acceleration. Go to Start, Control Panel, Multimedia, Audio, Advanced Properties, Performance, then change hardware acceleration to a lower setting. Creative Soundblaster AWE 32 and AWE 64 known issues: These older cards do not perform hardware mixing and are particularly prone to poor performance with sound hardware acceleration turned on.
