CDV Software Entertainment today officially announced the German release date for its science fiction shoot em up, Breed. The game will hit German shelves at the end of May, right after the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. The demo "will probably be published at the end of March and will offer a little taste of the masterpiece from Brat Designs and CDV".

Karlsruhe, 11.03.2003 - CDV Software Entertainment officially announces the German release date for its science fiction shoot em up, Breed. The specialist press will be able to enjoy a detailed preview of the eagerly awaited title at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2003 in Los Angeles before Breed hits German shelves at the end of May. The demo will probably be published at the end of March and will offer a little taste of the masterpiece from Brat Designs and CDV. About Breed Breed is a cutting-edge science-fiction shoot-'em up, which skilfully blends addictive, accessible, free-roaming gameplay with cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology to expand not only the gameplay potential, but also the player's perceived freedom within the game world. In other words: multiple 3D-Action. Breed can be played utilising both 1st and 3rd person viewpoints. Players can freely take control of a variety of vehicles - from standard ground troops to dropships - to do battle with The Breed both in orbit and on the Earth's surface. The objective is simple: halt the invasion of The Breed and stop the destruction of mankind. Up to sixteen players can join together via LAN or Internet. The key to Breed's appeal is the ability for multiple players to work co-operatively to accomplish objectives.
