Our gallery has been updated with 19 new screenshots for Brisk, showcasing this upcoming futuristic combat racing game currently being developed by the Polish folks at Ganymede Technologies. The game will feature 6 different cars, many tracks set in a few different environments, various single- and multiplayer modes, and more. Brisk is scheduled for end 2003.
BRISK - High-speed race set in futuristic moody environments. A player will collect different items during race and he will be able to use the collected weapons to stop opponents. Cars used in the game are a tuned version of characteristic cars from motorization history. (Special shields and utilities are added.) Many tracks guided through futuristic industrialized towns and tunnels providing full-strain amusement for many hours. High speed, sharp turnings and crazy pursuits. You have this all the time. High speed and quick feedback are more important then gun-wielding. GAME MODES Single Player Modes: * Single Race Players fight on available tracks. The results for each track are kept in separate high score table. If a player is on the third position at high score list at least, new tracks are activated. * Time Challenge In that mode a player can drive alone on a single track. He fights against time. During the race there is the estimated car delay compared to the other cars that have ever gone on that track before. After the race a detailed statistics is displayed. In that race a player collects points. Having collected some points, new cars are received. * Peace Race Similar to a single race, this time however no weapons are available on the track. There are more turbo items placed everywhere and in many places the track guard-barriers are removed. In that race a player collects points. Having collected some points, new cars are received. * Championship In that mode you will have access to all tracks. To play on another track you have to keep the third position at least. Between races the current state of the game is automatically saved and it can be restored if necessary. Multiplayer Modes: Multiplayer Modes are similar like Single Player Modes with the some changes and modifications necessary for that type of the game (LAN) including split-screen modes. TRACKS We have prepared many tracks set in a few different environments. Each environment has unique scenery. Each track is set in different weather conditions. Skyscrapers, balloons, advertisements and spotlights complete the atmosphere and visual variety! On each track there are arrows, points, signs and hints that mark sharp curves, hazardous parts and jumps. To make tracks set in the same environment more distinct we altered particular roads and structures, relocated the items, changed the daytime and added the environment effects and harsher weather conditions and ground material. The track design is avoided to be monotonous. .Some parts of the tracks are with guard-band some are not. So, in some areas players must be very careful to stay on the tracks. VEHICLES In the game there are six different cars. The vehicles are unique with distinct, specific abilities and facilities. All cars are enhanced, hard-core, tuned versions of old American cars. No human figures are visible in cars as we keep the windshields shaded. Each car is prepared in some different variants. Weapons can be mounted on cars. That is how we can vary the cars. ITEMS In random places on the tracks there are items situated. All items can be divided into some categories: * Turbo: Each car has the same amount of additional turbo fuel at the start of the race that increases the speed of the car twice. Pressing a turbo key activates Turbo. On the track there are turbo items that increase the amount of available turbo. Cars cannot have more than 100 % turbo. Each car uses different amount of turbo and has different capacity of turbo tanks. * Health Pack: Reduces car damage. * Damage: Damage cannot be chosen. Around the damage there is damage area. Passing through that area destroys cars. Car damage is related to the time spent in the damage area. * Shield: Protects only you. Your car cannot be destroyed until the shield is switched off. The shield is deactivated in some time. * Weapons: Rocket - It tries to chase a car that is in front of yours. Then it explodes and the chased car loses some energy, Lightning - An electric bolt that disables all electric systems in your opponent car. No map is displayed, HUD is disabled, steering malfunctions for a while, Oil - Leave oil on the ground. It could be dangerous for cars that follow you. Especially, if the oil is spilled at the turning, Chaingun - powerful machinegun, Freeze - It freezes a car. A frozen car can hardly do any damage if it hits something, Mine - You can drop this mine behind you. If a car touches a mine it explodes and it can destroy the car.
