The official
Shadowbane website has been updated with information on the
currently ongoing beta test of the game. According to it, the beta test will be oficially over this Friday, March 21st 2003, as the game is ready to roll into stores on March 25th. What I don't understand is how the game could've possibly
gone gold while still undergoing a beta test. Could it be because no more finished products are being released in stores while publishers rush them to make some extra dough and consumers are being used as beta testers at the end of the day? Post your comments on our
forums if you wish to discuss this issue further :) .
Shadowbane Beta Ends Friday!
Beta 3/19/2003 12:40:41 AM
Shadowbane officially goes on sale Tuesday March 25! After purchasing the game, beta testers can add the Official Shadowbane subscription to their existing ubi.com account. Remember, the ubi.com account name is the identity that will appear in the Shadowbane forums.
This Friday afternoon, a massive End of Beta Event will be on-going on the Chaos server. Beta testers must choose between two epic and ancient powers which could decide the fate of the world. Those who would live in a world governed by Chaos should join the Legions of Ruine in the city of Apocalypse. Or if they would see the Beastlords gain supremacy, players should join the City of Doom with the Wolf Lords.
Or if the opportunity arises, players can choose yet another path, one of their own making....
