Screens: Sudden Strike Forever

CDV Software has released some new screenshots of the upcoming Sudden Strike add-on, Sudden Strike Forever. Sudden Strike Forever now features a British Campaign (after listening to the British Public), complete with British units and troops of the time. The British campaign contains 3 missions, in addition to the 3 new missions for each of the existing Allies, Russian and German campaigns. The game will be released in May 2001.

For those who want the quick fixes, there are also 4 new single missions to enjoy. Single player missions now include the improved gameplay features but also the ability to adjust the difficulty levels. From hard to easy, you are in total control. Coupled with the new settings of deserts, and seasons, e.g. Autumn, Sudden Strikers are in for a lengthy and exciting experience. The multi-player angle is now vastly improved. Not only because there are more multiplayer missions, but now you can set the length of a game and implement a variety of conditions, e.g. no reinforcements, instant reinforcements or 5 min capture reinforcements. Sudden Strike Forever now incorporates Internet lobby support, via the Gamespy interface, for improved Internet gaming, chat, and community building. The feature everyone has been waiting for is here, and really is the true reason behind the title, Sudden Strike Forever? The Map and Mission Editor! Destined to increase the life, and the already massive Sudden Strike community, this editor in a windows GUI will let you design maps and be creative with the missions set. Expect the Sudden Strike community to explode. The list of interface and gameplay enhancements are so long but a few of the choice ones include; Vehicles reversing; Generals now have binoculars for long-range sight; easier to control, better interface and less clicks for action; improved path finding; and simplified weapons transport and reloading.
