ValuSoft has released the first patch for I Was an Atomic Mutant, bringing this budget arcade action game by Canopy Games to v1.10. The update fixes some render and playback issues on some video cards - notably the Matrox Millennium series and SIS, enhances the humans AI, and adds 3 new camera views (backup, First Person, and 'Puny Human' view). • I Was an Atomic Mutant v1.10 Patch (3.3 MB)
  • Patch Notes: -fixed miscellaneous render and playback issues that cropped up on some video cards, notably the Matrox Millennium series and SIS. Just general performance streamlining. -Enhanced the AI on the puny humans, they're not as quick and will congregate around the cities more. -Added 3 new camera views. In addition to addressing some user complaints about the monster blocking the view, we couldn't resist being a bit silly. Here are the modes now available: MODE 1: Default View. This is the original view from version 1.0 of the game. MODE 2: Backup View: This view is higher and farther back from your Mutant, increasing visibility. This view is much requested. MODE 3: FIRST PERSON: (Or first MUTANT, as the case may be!) What's it like inside the head of a rampaging mutant? Now you can find out! This is also a highly requested view mode. MODE 4: Puny Human Cam: This is like the default view, but a little closer to the Mutant. Where it differs, well, just go pick up a person or a military guy, and...well...you'll see. Absolutely no one requested this, but there you have it anyway. Enjoy! The default key for cycling the camera views is F1. You may change this, and any other controls, through the "controls" menu screen.
