Phenomenal airport traffic expansion that adds a wealth of active detail to Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2002 Artificial Intelligence makes Flight Simulator as busy as it gets – FS Traffic 2002 is now available! FS Traffic 2002 brings realism to the Flight Simulator 2002 world by replacing the default AI (Artificial intelligence) aircraft and AI flights. You even get Spotty – the virtual aircraft-spotter and his toolkit of goodies too! No longer will you see the default airlines companies taxiing around! FS Traffic 2002 replaces the default Ai aircraft with 20 brand new high quality G-Max built airliners. All have animated flight surfaces, gears and engine fans along with transparent cockpit windows and night lighting! Being built in G-max ensures FS2002 compatibility and maximum frame rate friendliness. The aircraft range covers the common types from the Dash-8 through the CRJ, to the 747 and even Concorde. There are 47 of the world's most famous airlines and a total mixture of more than 160 individual aircraft and liveries. Based around departures from 52 worldwide airports and including the world's busiest 30, FS Traffic 2002 places modified taxiway and parking spaces to ensure that traffic will flow as smoothly as possible. The flight plans are based around real world airline timetables and the number of flights enabled by FS Traffic 2002 are around 40,000, yes! 40,000 and the number of airports affected by FS Traffic 2002 aircraft and flights will be nearly 750 around the world! We have even included a user tool to allow you to add your own flight plans if you wish. FS Traffic 2002 will allow you to use either the default FS 2002 airport sceneries or 3rd party airport sceneries via its in-built tool. We have included a selection of popular 3rd party airport compatibility with the correct parking and runway operations for that particular airport scenery. The currently supported packages are: SimFlyers sceneries (Published by Just Flight as World Airports), GB Airports, Gary Summons' UK 2000 Airports (Published by Just Flight as British Airports (Major airports only)) plus selected German Airports series sceneries (EDDF, EDDH,EDDL, EDDM and EDDT) and German VFR Airfields by C. Rieger. It's as detailed as it gets... this is what you get! Flights Although FS Traffic 2002 directly affects the world's 30 busiest airports the effect of all the departures from these 30 airports affects traffic and airports around the world, so even if you nearest major airport is not one of named 30 you will more than likely see flights from a real world airline operating there. The frequency of flights will vary through the 24 hour period to reflect less traffic at night. See aircraft queues at peak times and at quieter periods some more peace and quiet in the way of operations. General Aviation flying In addition to the airliner flights the traffic database includes 9,312 general aviation flights, flying from/to 630 airports (usually different to the ones above) with 14 FS 2002 default aircraft in 23 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA All flights are using correct aircraft/airline identifiers and tail numbers according to the country of origin, e.g. a Cessna 152 flying in Germany will have a registration like D-EAEH, a Piper flying in the UK might be G-CLEA etc. ATC Voicepack Finally you'll hear European voices in FS 2002! This voicepack provides additional pilot and ATC voices. FS 2002 per default only includes US American voices - the voices included in the FS Traffic 2002 voicepack are 1 US English, 4 British English and 2 English with German accent voices. Traffic Viewer A radar-like tool that shows all AI traffic in your vicinity. You will see aircraft displayed with their registrations and current flight parameters. You can select an aircraft and set yourself into a "follow" mode which allows you to view that aircraft from spot plane view in all phases of flight and on the ground. Spotty - the spotter aircraft FS Traffic 2002 is a great program for plane spotting so we have included some tools to help you. Spotty is a virtual aircraft spotter's bag, offering the following items on a mouse-click a radio to tune frequencies and listen to ATC a map to open FS 2002's top down view a map to open FS 2002's flight map a GPS a clock a navigation facility to allow moving this "aircraft" by mouse. FS Traffic 2002 User tool The included user tool will allow you to create your own flight plans using the included FS Traffic 2002 aircraft or any other aircraft installed in your FS 2002. You will be able to import whole airline timetables providing they are in the designated format and add additional airports to the list.
