  • New AMP II demo version 1.1 We have just released version 1.1 of AMP. Here are a few highlighted features: *Support for ATI 9600 and newer cards. *Support for Nvidias latest drivers. *Speed improvement up to 25%. *Vertex blending. Now animations can blend between up to 4 bones for realistic smooth joints and facial animation. What you see in Max or character studio is what you get in the engine. *New dmf export settings in MAX Plugin. (STATIC, ANIMATED, VERTEX_EFFECT). STATIC = map object or otherwise non-animated object. ANIMATED = export for use with skeletal animation VERTEX_EFFECT = export for use with vertex effects (@Explosion effects). *Alpha cutout support for transparent textures like fences, gratings, etc. Note this works with bump maps also. *Portal polygon dropping fixed. *2048 texture support Editor features: *Real time lighting preview located under VIEW > SCENE RENDER. This will load the ss file off your hard drive into the editor, similar to how ssview functions. Future builds you will be able to adjust lights and move entities around for real time editing. *The tilde (~) key is now a quick clone-selections key. It will create a clone of your selection and offset the new copy over and up by the amount of the grid. Making stairs is very fast with this feature. *Rotate 45 and 90 degree buttons on toolbar, and some new more intuitive toolbar buttons. *Lines parallel to the view can now be selected by moving the cursor right on top of the end point. This allows selecting and dragging the corner of a brush in parallel view similar to the feature we have for for selecting side polygons. To help with this feature, points are now rendered in line mode so you can tell if you have a parallel edge selected because you will see that it looks like a single selected point. *Improved line and vertex cursor precision. *MOUSE PAN feature. Middle mouse button will now PAN your view in supredit the direction you move the mouse. *MOUSE WHEEL ZOOM. Mouse wheel will zoom in and out. *Textures are "baked" upon loading. This precalculates lighting from the normal map and the diffuse so that you can align the textures better in the editor. *FILE > COMPILE now works.
