AKIMBO: KUNG-FU HERO PLAYABLE DEMO DONE, WEB SITE GOES LIVE!
Demo and web site for Iridon's manga-inspired platformer Akimbo: Kung-Fu Hero announced.
April 10, 2001 ? Interactive entertainment publisher Iridon Interactive has launched a dedicated website for their massively playable PC platform title, Akimbo: Kung-Fu Hero. The site, which goes live today, is located at http://akimbo.iridon.com.
The hefty playable demo of Akimbo contains playable levels from both the Caribbean Capers and Spooky Caverns areas in the game. Moreover, the demo is available in English, Swedish, Spanish, and Japanese language versions.
In addition, the site features information on game characters, a slew of screenshots, press information for the title, and additional downloads that include a cool WinAMP skin, music from the game in MP3 format, and desktop wallpapers.
Iridon also have plans to make the game available for purchase online in the near future.
PRAISE FROM THE PRESS
Akimbo has been receiving encouraging praise from the gaming press. The Adrenaline Vault wrote "the combination of proven gameplay elements with eye-catching graphics, a cheerily fantastic story, and a refreshing lack of gore could make this game one to watch for", while IGN PC described Akimbo as "a game that's copped the best features from the last decade's entire crop of platformers".
