Left 4 Dead PC Update and SDK Beta This Week

Later this week Left 4 Dead will see the release of an update that will improve the matchmaking and UI capabilities to support add-ons and community made content, Valve announced. Thanks: The Escapist. The SDK and authoring tools are currently in beta, and the release of this new update will see the end of the beta and mark the official release of the kit. The lobby system will also be simplified and allow for users to invite friends into custom-made campaigns. In addition, the SDK will receive several updates and additions itself, including tools to modify the original campaign maps and an expanded tutorial. Now if only the Xbox 360 could get some new campaign maps less people will be complaining about Left 4 Dead 2 releasing a single year later.
