Vivendi Universal Games Announces Metal Arms: Glitch in the System for the PlayStation(R)2
LOS ANGELES, June 25 - Vivendi Universal Games announced today that it will publish Metal Arms(TM): Glitch in the System for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Previously announced for release on the Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCube(TM), the title is scheduled to ship on all three platforms in fourth quarter 2003.
Metal Arms is an action-packed third-person shooter set on a distant planet inhabited exclusively by robots. Glitch, the game's hero, must save the inhabitants of Iron Star from the clutches of General Corrosive and his minions. As his adventure unfolds, players will explore fascinating regions of the robot planet, drive a vast array of vehicles, solve puzzles, learn to possess enemy 'bots and gain powerful weapon upgrades to ensure the survival of the Droid Race.
Developed by Swingin Ape Studios, the game combines fast-paced action, several varied gameplay types and a unique robotic look to ensure a truly original experience. Metal Arms also boasts an abundance of witty writing and story elements courtesy of a talented team of television and cartoon series writers committed to delivering a genuinely funny game.
