Global Star Software Announces Rebel Trucker
Today Global Star Software, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO), has announced that they have signed a licensing deal with 3 Romans to develop Rebel Trucker for the PC Platform. Rebel Trucker will put players behind the wheel of a variety of heavy rigs to take on the hot Louisiana Asphalt, modeled after the actual streets of New Orleans, and the surrounding Bayou. Against this Cajun-hot New Orleans backdrop, Players will deal out some good ol' home cooking as they complete missions and make decisions that will ultimately determine an open career path as a bayou commercial trucker, an organized crime trailer jockey, or even an FBI stool pigeon. Global Star Software will release Rebel Trucker during the fall of 2003.
Although still in the early phases of development, Game features include a variety of interchangeable truck cabs and trailers to drive, such as big rigs, a beer truck, automobile haulers, and more. The mission based, open-ended plotlines will take players through richly detailed roadway environments that highlight the French-Creole Panache of the highways spanning the Louisiana Bayou and Surrounding Mississippi Delta, as well as the distinctive “vieux carré” architecture and narrow laneways that make up The Big Easy, including Bourbon St. and the rest of the historic French Quarter.
Features:
• 10 seriously in-depth missions, full of primary and secondary objectives, with open-ended outcomes, often requiring moral decisions on the fly.
• Over 100 miles of actual interstate, city roads and highways to explore
• Richly detailed variable plotlines unfold in dazzling video sequences and cut-scenes, telling your tale as either a mafia tough, a federal informant, or even as a legitimate trucker making a living on the road.
• Drive any one of five truck cabs and 7 interchangeable cargo trailers, in addition to several more unorthodox vehicles. Trucks include auto-haulers, tankers, produce trucks, even a beer truck for deliveries across the New Orleans French Quarter!
• Advanced driving physics and dazzling, richly detailed 3D environments with photo realistic textures and skins offer players the authentic Louisiana trucker experience.
• Tons of extra features, including bonus games, eater eggs, certification tests and tutorial levels.
