Cat Daddy Games has issued a new patch for their turn-based strategy game published by
Activision Value earlier this year,
Civil War: The Game. This release adds the ability to load & save games (
now that's an interesting option...), fixes a out of sync bug in network games, fixes the chat ability, adds zooming via the mouse wheel, two new camera views (overview and chase), and more.

Civil War Patch 2:
General Changes:
- Added Loading & Saving of the games.
- Added a printable version of the instructions, in the form of instructions.doc in the main program directory.
- Added description text for the "historical reenactment" scenarios.
Network Play:
- A message is now sent in the waiting room when people join or leave a game.
- Fixed a bug where the game could become out of sync (and therefore unplayable) during a battle.
- Fixed the chat ability. (Hit enter to bring up a text field to send chat messages to your opponent.)
Battle:
- Added zooming via the mouse wheel (in addition to the keyboard controls that were there).
- Added an overview camera which can be toggled by hitting the ALT key (can be zoomed, scrolled & controlled like the normal map mode. Since so much of the map is visible it will be relatively slow).
- Added a chase camera (a camera which floats behind a unit's head) activated via the CTRL key. In this mode you can issue commands if you are viewing from the currently active unit. You can switch between units by hitting the TAB key. The Space bar brings you to the currently active unit.
