ALIEN FLUX™ - VERSION 1.3 GOES LIVE
PLAINSFIELD, UK, 5 July 2003 – PUPPY GAMES today announced that the new version of Alien Flux, their ground breaking arcade game, went live today.
One of only a handful of Java™ based games in the world, Alien Flux is being heralded as a flagship for Java gaming by Sun Microsystems. The main differences in version 1.3 include a simplified ‘rookie’ mode for beginners and an ‘extreme’ mode for highly skilled players, which is unlocked once the full version of the game has been completed in ‘normal’ difficulty mode.
“The developments made in version 1.3 add a whole new dimension to Alien Flux,” said Caspian Rychlik-Prince, MD at PUPPY GAMES. “Our aim was to improve and expand on an already action packed game by adding different difficulty settings and a whole host of other small but significant changes, making Alien Flux even more playable and appealing for an even wider audience.”
Alien Flux combines totally original gameplay, modern pseudo-3D graphics and unique sound effects to create a fast and furious shoot-em up style arcade game, the aim of which is to rescue Fluffies (the cutest creatures in the universe), from invading forces from the fifth dimension. Compatible with both Windows and Linux operating systems the new full version of Alien Flux incorporates:
·New rookie and extreme modes
·16 unique evil aliens from the 5th dimension
·4 massive and fiendish bosses
·8 cute fluffy friends that need your help
·12 powerups to help you in your mission
·100 levels of blistering arcade action in which to battle
·online hiscore table - be the best in the world!
With MacOS X support planned later this year, Alien Flux is accessible on the PUPPY GAMES website which forms the hub of an online community that will evolve to incorporate news, articles and forums and act as a platform for future projects.
