The first public Alpha release of Godz is now available for download. Godz is a console-like action mod for Unreal Tournament 2003 featuring "incredible battles amongst genetically engineered, supernatural warriors built by rival planets to compete in a Universal-Wide Tournament." The alpha version contains 13 maps, 5 unique fighters, both destroyable and throwable entities, as well as First and Third Person views. Gamer's Hell Local Download:

  • GODZ is a free modification of the Unreal Tournament video game created by Epic Games. GODZ completely converts the Unreal Tournament video game series into an original action game. Featuring incredible battles amongst genetically engineered, supernatural warriors built by rival planets to compete in a Universal-Wide Tournament. The prize is an untold fortune that will increase even the most impovorished planet into a thriving, economic power. Each fighter is a little nugget of nuclear power capable of mass destruction. The setting is the far flung future. A godlike alien species, known as the QuaL, has initiated a tournament open to all planets to enter. However, only godlike, enchanced warriors known as Muzaroken or simply- 'god', in the english tongue, are allowed to enter. Using advanced technology purchased from the QuaL, planets are able to genetically engineer gods to enter the Qualian Tournament . The prize is an untold fortune that will increase even the most impovorished planetary systems into a rich, thriving economic status. However, godz are so expensive to produce only 1-3 are 'grown' by each competing planet. - means energy level. A god's strength is often measured by the amount of QI they contain. -A god is the embodiment of the ultimate warrior. They are incredibly hard to kill and even then- given the proper time, they can reintegrate themselves. It is the goal of a god to become the strongest god in the universe. However, only one god is allowed to attend the Qualin Tournament for each planet. Thus, planets that have more than one god resident must battle each other on their home planet to decide who's the TRUE GOD OF HIS PLANET! Godz features original, round based gameplay. Each god is a little nugget of nuclear power. Entire cities are provided as the battleground for two rival gods to battle. Gods do not use weapons other than their own mind, physique, and sheer force of will to survive. By performing intricate motions with their hands, they are able to weave incredible beams/rays of destruction (energy attacks). Each gametype is organized into a ladder structure to promote a strong, competitive atmosphere. We are creating futuristic maps with a lot of open areas (the gods will be capable of short term flight). Since BattleLust can take place on any planet, the maps do not have to be consistent with each other. For futuristic cities, we'll be building a lot of destroyable custom models such as air cars, hoverbuses, etc. Development will be broken up into stages. For Stage I (beta release), we aim to implement 6-8 skeletal animated gods from various planets (including earth), the BattleLust, Alliance, & Last Stand gametypes, and maps supporting both 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 fighting. Controls Hitting the JUMP key twice or F key will toggle Flight mode on/off. Flight slowly eats away at a God's QI. While in Flight mode: pressing CROUCH will cause the player to descend, pressing JUMP will cause the player to levitate. Basically, you can move in any direction you desire. To fly or move faster, press the burst key. More energy will be used but you will be able to move a lot faster. Press your primary fire to perform the selected QI Attack. Holding down the primary fire button will cause the god to charge up an attack (if it is a scalar attack). The longer you hold down the fire button, the more powerful your attack will be. The secondary fire (block) key will block any attacks while being held. While Blocking, you cannot return any attacks. Each attack in Godz stores the QI Energy used to create it. Thus, the targeted god will be required to use the same amount of QI to deflect/block the attack. However, a certain charge will be levied in order to erect a shield to protect him/her against attacks. If you simply press the block key very quickly, then your God will attempt to absorb (punch) the attack. Your god will incur a little damage but, no QI Energy will be required. It will be much harder to absorb an attack though. All attacks exist in realtime and are capable of colliding with each other. Minor power struggles can possibly wage between two attacks. For instance, two attacks are fired from warring gods, however, the bigger scale blast will overpower the other. The stronger attack will detonate the lesser and continue along it's trajectory. A really powerful attack can possibly slay an enemy god in our Alliance gametype and continue along it's trajectory to slay another enemy god. QI Energy slowly builds up over time. However, players can cause their energy to charge up much faster by pressing their charge key. You will be very vulnerable to your enemies while charging of course. You won't be able to return or block attacks. A player can use their QI to blink in the direction indicated by their controls. For instance, pressing right/left twice very quickly will teleport the God a few paces in that direction. Pressing the 1 key will place your god in melee mode. Pressing the primary fire button rapidly will create a short range attack that will spread just a few meters in front of your god. Holding down the primary fire button will cause the god to charge up for a strong, short range move. Gameplay Godz health readings are measured by their stability. A god mostly consists of unstable matter bound together by QI FORCE. Any sustained damage breaks up a God's molecular structure. It is the goal of a God to remain stable at all times. In-between attacks, a god's stability grows stronger and more cohesive. This process is called reintegration by most tournament spectators. It works just like a health status. If a God sustains a lot of damage he/she might become enraged. Depending on the God, he/she might transform into a malignant alter ego until their molecular structure becomes stable. A mad god builds QI faster and is much stronger than normal. They are also surrounded by a red aura. It should be a God's objective to slay his enemies quickly before they go nova. A battered god is the most dangerous foe in the universe. QI FORCE QI is the lifeblood of a God. It powers all of their attacks, special moves (like teleportation), and flight. QI builds up at a steady rate during gameplay. The best way to conserve/rebuild QI is to try to get your enemy to engage you on the ground and use low powered attacks. Basic Powers Every god has these abilities Flight- ability to fly. Boost - allows a god to use more energy to move faster. Blink - Instant Movement. Attack Types Energy Bolt- if the primary fire key/button is held for a short period, a dummy bolt will be fired. Normally players can fire many of these bolts rapidly. Holding down the primary fire will release a homing attack. This attack is scalable. Ray- a basic short range attack that sort of launches close to the god. It's functions as a sort of expensive melee attack. Energy Bomb- fires an energy bolt that is detonated when the fire button is released. Beam Attack- fires an extremely powerful beam that stays active as long as the god has QI to power it. The longer you hold down your primary fire, the longer the beam fires. When two beams collide, a power struggle occurs between the two gods. If one of the gods presses his boost key, then more power will be added to the beam and it can possibly overwhelm the other beam. If a god is enraged, the beam can possibly overwhelm the other god's beam. Bouncer- is a ground based attack. When it hits a surface, it bounces. When it hits a target, it detonates into a massive explosion. Eye Beams- certain gods will be able to fire beams from their eyes. Repel- the god emits a bubble shaped force field that repels nearby godz away. Melee- any short range attack. Gametypes 1-on-1 deathmatch. BattleLust consists of 3 rounds. At the end of each round, the camera zooms in on the victorous God. Gameplay is fast and action packed. Spectators wait in line until it's their turn to fight the champion. After a user defined limit of matches, the tournament ends. If a tie condition exists, than a BEST OF THE BEST competition will ensue until the strongest warrior survives. The god with the highest number of victories wins the tournament and the server proceeds to load the next map. The Qual believe a true god can single handedly defeat all opposing gods w/o any time to recover from the last fight. The defeated gods get a chance to partially reintegrate while spectating. The quicker the champion defeats his foes, the less time opposing gods have to rebuild their strength. New arrivals are given an average stability based on the other competitors to keep the competition fair. After a user defined limit of matches, the tournament ends. If a tie condition exists, than a BEST OF THE BEST competition will ensue until the strongest warrior survives. The god with the highest number of victories wins the tournament and the server proceeds to load the next map. Can you survive against an onslaught of Gods? Two Gods form an alliance to fight two other Gods (2v2 fighting). This gametype encourages team work and cooperation. Attacks can be combined in this mode. For instance, if two gods fire 2 similar attacks, the projectiles might possibly merge into a bigger attack and deliver massive damage. After a user defined limit of matches, the tournament ends. If a tie condition exists, than a BEST OF THE BEST competition will ensue until the strongest alliance survives. The alliance with the highest number of victories wins the tournament and the server proceeds to load the next map. Each god competes to capture 5 unique orbs that scattered around the map. Each orb grants it's user a different power. Combine all 5 orbs to perform the ultimate attack! Gods train in extreme conditions. However, mastery of QI FORCE comes at a steep price. A god must train daily to become the Best of the Best or drown in a baptism of fire at the tournament. Godz may have single player support with cutscenes. The player ascends the ranks of the Qualian Tournament in a traditional fighting game fashion. New boss characters exists ONLY in this special mode. The weak perish and only the strongest survives the tournament to attain the Qualian prize. It's an untold fortune that can increase the economy of the most impoverished world into a thriving economic power. Are you strong enough to win the tournament? The fate of billions depend upon victory. After all, a great portion of the planetary income was invested to grow and train you.
