United Coders announced the development of King's Table for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi, a strategy game inspired by the old Viking board game Hnefatafl. The game became a popular in Northern Europe during the Viking era (end of 8th century to about 1000AD), and lets to players act as the attacker and defender of a king. The most important rule is that the attacker always has more board pieces than the defender, while attacking from the corners of the board. The objective of the defender, always with a minority of pieces, and always initially with the king piece positioned in the middle of the board, is to figure out a way to navigate the king piece to one of the four corner squares on the board.
