Yet once again, sir Mark Tritschler is back with his own It Came From Hell, today he's exploring Laser Keyboards, The Sims Addon Mania, new DDR 500 memory and Half-Life 2 NOT delayed (yet?). Read full article for details and feel free to post your comments.
The Sims grave is near It seems to me like there has been hundreds of expansion packs for this game. O.K not quite but there is a fair number, but the last one is just around the corner which is to be released this October and is to be titled "makin' magic". The add-on is set in Magic Town whence recipes for potions, spells and charms can be obtained. Having performed there at the Side Show, Spook Show, Magic Dueling Arena, and Magic Trick Table, your Sims can travel back home via the Magic Portal and transform everyday objects into helpful minions, hypnotize your so-called friends, or turn that annoying neighbour into a frog. Fantastic. Half-Life 2 NOT delayed Ha! Fools! Don't believe the other trashy editorials, half-life is not delayed even though nearly every source is saying it is. Valve says there is no delay (that they are aware of, and well.. if anyone is aware of a delay it would be Valve), then there is no delay. Things are still on target for Sept 30th until/unless Valve says otherwise. But as things can always change, I'll keep you posted. DDR 500 on its way to the masses Hynix yesterday pledged to put 256Mb 500MHz DDR SDRAM chips into volume production next month - the first of their kind, it claims. "The company hopes to ride the wave of users and vendors moving up to high-end DDR, primarily 333MHz and 400MHz versions. Memory module sellers are already offering DDR 500 parts, but these tend to be overclocked 400MHz parts and are only sold as being compatible with specific systems". Question is, will it work on PC? Full story here. Laser keyboard in your pocket The much talked about Half-Life 2 might be playable before long on the move, well once PDA's get decent graphics. Atleast we will have a decent keyboard, Canesta are the company behind this latest gadget which basically allows you to use a full sized keyboard wherever you may be. The device beams the keypad layout onto any surface and then when you press the keys it senses your finger moving about and types the letter. Hmm, well could prove interesting? Take a look for yourself here. - Mark Tritschler
