We have mirrored both the CD version and the floppy disk one together with latest version of SCUMM VM if you have issues running the game on any modern o/s.

Thanks to the team at SCUMMVM.ORG Steel Sky is now AVAILABLE as freeware! scummvm v0.5.0 contains the very latest ENGINE which will allow you to play BASS on XP/Linux/Mac OS, etc. In addition, the game resource files are also avaliable for DOWNLOAD. Revolution extend their THANKS to the SCUMMVM team for their excellent work on this project.
After the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy setting of Revolution’s first game, Lure of the Temptress, Revolution decided to go down a completely different avenue with its second adventure game, Beneath a Steel Sky, that of Science Fiction. A bleak vision of the future was imagined, where mind control and medical science combined forces to repress the populace. Leading comic artist, Dave Gibbons, joined the design team to visualise this desperate landscape. The result, released in 1994, was the cult classic Beneath a Steel Sky. Beneath a Steel Sky was produced for Amiga and PC but is no longer available for purchase. Numerous SDL/Linux projects are currently underway to produce new versions of BASS and the basic sources are available upon request. Revolution itself would like to produce an updated version of BASS for modern PC’s and mobile devices such as GBA. We’ll let you know if any of these Revolution projects become a reality!
