Mass Effect 2 Sales Record

Game sells 2 million units in week one
Electronic Arts announced that Mass Effect 2, the sequel to Mass Effect developed by BioWare, has sold-in over two million units worldwide in its first week of release (according to internal EA data). On launch day, the term “Mass Effect” was in the top 10 trending topics on Twitter and most searched on Google News. In Mass Effect 2, Saren's evil army of Geth soldiers has just been defeated, and humans, who are still struggling to make their mark on the galactic stage, are now faced with an even greater peril. Players will once again step into the role of the heroic Commander Shepard, commanding a crew of some of the most dangerous operatives from across the galaxy on a challenging and potentially suicidal mission.
