THQ today announced that Metro 2033 movie, showcasing this first person shooter developed by Ukrainian studio 4A Games and based on the best-selling Russian novel of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky, has reached Gold status and will be available on March 16th in the US and Germany, March 18th in Australia and March 19th in the rest of the world. Metro 2033 is a story of intensive underground survival where the fate of mankind rests in your hands. In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland.
