EA to publish Final Fantasy X-2 in Europe

Electronic Arts today announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution and publishing agreement with Square Enix Co., Ltd for Final Fantasy X-2 on the PlayStation 2 throughout Europe and all PAL territories. Already available in Japan, Final Fantasy X-2 is scheduled for release in Europe in early 2004.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. FINAL FANTASY is the most successful role-playing game of all time, selling over 44 million units during the lifetime of the franchise. FINAL FANTASY X-2, scheduled for release in Europe in early 2004, is a sequel that brings back the cast and world of FINAL FANTASY X for another epic adventure. FFX-2 was released in Japan on 13 March 2003 and has already sold over 2 million units to consumers.
