Patrick Callahan, the investor behind GRID 2's World Series Racing, heads to Europe to recruit the best talent from a continent with a heritage in motorsport that stretches back to its very inception. From the climbs, plunges and hairpins of the Côte d'Azur to the magnificent boulevards of Paris and the undulating tarmac at the state-of-the-art Algarve International Circuit, you'll have to take on Europe's finest Racing Clubs across a range of events to become the rising star of World Series Racing.
In the first GRID 2 gameplay trailer Road Racing locations are well represented as cars including the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970 race head-to-head on the California Coast. Track Racing is shown at Austria's Red Bull Ring, where the Ariel Atom 3, BAC Mono and KTM X-Bow R go flat out around this historic circuit.
Street Racing, meanwhile, is shown in Paris, as marques including the McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG and Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition tear around the Arc de Triumph. The video, part one of a series of three, follows the fortunes of Chris Harris, one of motorsport's leading journalistsmotoring journalist and regular contributor to YouTube's DRIVE channel, who has joined together with Codemasters to provide insight into car handling and vehicle selection for the game. In the 'GRID 2 Effect' video, Chris throws his McLaren around the famous circuit in pursuit of McLaren's test driver Mat Jackson and uses in-game expertise from GRID 2 and Codemasters staff to gain the advantage. The video shows how Brands Hatch is created in-game and features stunning real life footage of the stunning McLarens power-sliding around some of the most iconic corners in racing.
